Hi, I’m Sarah, a compassionate and empathetic integrative counsellor working with teens aged 16 and above.
My practice focuses on supporting teens who are neurodivergent or those who believe they may be. Your teen may be struggling to navigate life with Autism, ADHD or another form of neurodivergence and may be feeling like they don't quite fit in.
I offer a warm and welcoming space so that your teen can express themselves freely without judgement. I have supported teens with a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, identity issues, exam stress, self harm and family issues.
My approach is neuro-affirming, and I recognise and support neurodivergent differences, rather than seeing them as something that needs to be fixed or changed.
I have previously supported students as a counsellor in a college setting and also have personal experience of neurodivergence and the strengths and challenges that this can bring. This enables me to understand and empathise with the challenges that your teen may be facing and adapt my approach to suit their needs.
I draw from a range of theories and therapeutic approaches, and I’m flexible in my approach to ensure that I can work in a way that feels comfortable. This flexibility allows me to explore with them what works best - whether that's having space to talk about their feelings, understand their emotions or develop effective coping strategies.
I offer sessions face to face in Bedford or online via Google Meet. I offer sessions on a Thursday or Friday and in the evenings.
